Exterior LED Question

Hello everyone. As a new Shamrock 233s owner, I can say this hybrid is awesome. It'seems a big move up from our pop up!! I've only found a handful of weak links but the minimal number of exterior running lights is one of them. I've had a bad experience in the past with car drivers who don't look properly and get over onto your trailer.

I'm planning on replacing them with brighter LED's and adding a few marker lights. Is there anyone whose done this that has a recommendation on what brand to use, part numbers, advice, etc..? Thanks in advance for your responses. James

I have a buddy of mine that drives a monster crew cab dually, he had a problem with people wanting to try to drive past him when he was changing lanes or swinging wide for right hand turns. He rigged LED strips under the step bars and wired the step bar sidelights into the turn signals. Now when he uses his turn signals the whole side of the truck lights up.

I replaced all the exterior marker, stop/turn/tail lights on my trailer with Grote LED units. BIG difference at night, especially in rain. the LED light cuts through the dark better and it is very noticeable in the daylight too. If you go to your local Freightliner (or KW or Peterbilt) dealer, you might be able to find direct replacements at a lower cost than other stores due to the volume they move.
