Does anyone know if the 2010 21ss has a propane connection for a grill?

it'll be on the door/awning/passenger side of the trailer.
it'll have a little round hatch with a sliding tab so that you can close it while the hose is out. you'll also have the side rail to hang the grill from.

if you don't have either, you probably don't have the grill option.

Yes, better. You can then put your grill where you want it while considering variables like wind direction and available shade. You can keep it away from your awning too. I really don't see any difference regarding ease of use.

You can also get an adapter for your front tank, buy a long hose and use it with your grill. Not cheap but....
