Come on, you are from Maine and know better to think that a week or so above freezing means winter is over LOL By the time you get it uncovered a Noreaster will come rolling in.

My camping season starts in the fall and ends when the summer heat hits unless its a trip to the beach.

Four months is our season.
Is borderline insane to spend This much for such a short time.

We too reserved a week in Old Orchard. For many years now, we always reserved the first week of July at our favorite campground (Hid'N Pines)

Love camping in Southern Maine. Partly because I grew up there. We're heading to Bayley's in July.

Here in North Texas we are basking in sunshine, blue skies and 70+ degree temperatures. We haven't had any snow or ice storms so far this winter. But having seen it snow here in April,I'm thinking that Mother Nature is not going to slam us with some awful weather before this winter is over.

90 miles south of Green Bay Wi and everything covered in snow. More coming tomorrow night. Then looking at 50 for Sunday. That's Wisconsin, wait 10 minutes and the weather will change.

Nine months of camping must be nice......But it's not as special for you as it is for us in Maine.
Do you remember when you were a kid and you were waiting for Christmas to arrive........Well ! It's the same here when camping season arrives. You're unwrapping a special gift !!!

We are ANYtimers. We generally camp 9 months and leave the sites to those that can only go during school vacations the other 3. One trip we do take during summer is wherever our grandsons wish to go for 10 days. Summer is the time to spend as much time on the boat fishing the Atlantic at home.
