First trip out with Roo 25RS

Everything worked fantastic, had a good hard thunderstorm sat, night no leaks , only issue I had was with the brake controller [Tekonsha voyager] after searching on this forum I see that other ppl have had issues with this controller, will be switching it out.

I just switched last week from the Voyager to the Prodigy P2, so much better! Where did you camp? We were at Camp Turkeyville in Marshall.

Are you on the Michigan Camping group? You were right down Grand River from me - had I been home!

Did you post about Haas Lake? Someone just posted pictures from their weekend there. I did it myself. Very easy because the Voyager is set up just like the P2. I just did wire to wire.

Spend a bit more and upgrade to the p3.

I just installed it. Love it!

We are picking our 25RS on Wednesday. Do you have any advise as to what to look for or questions to ask during our delivery walk through?

We purchased a Shamrock 25 RS back in February and from what I understand they are almost identical to the Roo. We love it! We have been camping 5 times since and headed out next Friday for a week! I can't think of anything specific to ask in your walk through. Hope you all love yours as much as we do. Congrats on the new camper!

We have a ROO 25RS had it out for the first time other then drive-way last week, it was great!, make sure you ask them where the manual overides to the slides are located, also where the fuses for the slides are,[ used a 16 gauge est. cord and blew the fuse for our rear slide] so you might want to pick up extra fuses just in case 15,20 and 30 amp. Ask for an upgrade to the p2-p3 brake controller, you can tape the walk through easier then taking notesor trying to remember evrything, this forum helps alot if you have any questions you might have missed. Don't let them talk you into buying things you really don't need afterwardss they will propbabily try to sell you things you really don't need right off.

Wow good ideas Scotty2! That is what I forgot. Make sure they show you where the fuses are for the slides and take a couple extra with you. We went camping over Memorial Day and blew a fuse. I had to call the dealer on Monday so they could tell me where they were located so I could get my rear slide to retract. I stopped by an auto parts store on the way home and purchased extra fuses for them so I wouldn't get in the predicament again! I wish I had thought of recording the walk through! That is an excellent idea!

Make sure you test the roof vent fans. Two friend bought Roos and the fans did not work. It was an easy fix for the dealer, it will just save you a trip back.

Where is the Michigan Camping Group site located? I live in Illinois, but we do a lot of camping in Michigan. We've been going to White River Campground in Montague for 10 years.
