Flagstaff 233 bunk ends child falls out

Hi, new forum member, logging in from a campsite looking for some advice. We have a Flagstaff 233s only our 8th night camping in it took delivery in April. Last night 1am my 6 year old fell out of a bunk end to the outside, through the canvas. Not real happy obviously. I looked at all 3 beds and they all have the same problem. There is a plastic strip the length of the bed, also the width on each end, and this seemingly is the only thing holding the canvas down. In all of my beds this strip is loose, it wasn't screwed in just glued and all of these strips have failed, glue has not held.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? We are still camping for 4 more nights so i need to shore it up until we get home and to a dealer. For now i bought some truck bed ratchet tie downs to try and make a safety web on the inside since the canvas end has literally 0 resistance.

Im shocked that on such a nice trailer this cheap strip of plastic is all that is holding my tents down. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Hope the little one didn't get hurt. If happened to my Roo, on one end also. It was a pretty easy fix. Picked up a silicone sealant at Menard. Glued down canvas and then glued plastic strip over edge to hold it in place. I taped it down until the Silicon dried. There were a few small screws that held the strip down, so I added a few more. It's been holding for 3 seasons now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear your fix is holding. I definitely want to add some screws there were none on mine to start with.
