Found window screws broken

Started cleaning my 2011 shamrock 19 today and found 3 screw heads on a dinette cushion. They are from the dinette window. It looks as if the heads were sheared off. Would this be because of water in the frame of the window and then freezing and breaking off the screw heads... What should I do about this besides replace screws? I would ask my dealer but they are now out of business.

seems unlikely
possibly
not the highest quality screws in the first place
overtightened just a little at the factory ???

The screws were probably over-tightened when the window was installed. The screw heads didn't fall out until the vibration from travelling assisted.

You should be able to just replace the screws. If any of them don't tighten up as they're stripped, go to the next larger thread size at the same length.

i agree about them being from the install.
i'm surprised you haven't found leftover screws, foam debris from the a/c vents, scrap wood, and so on.
pretty normal on any RV anymore.

The damage was for sure overthigting. Thet dont do it by hand and with the electric tools you make more damages than doing it by hand which would take much more time to install.

takes some extra time
but

when the drill driver clutch
is perfectly set
taking into account
strenth of screw and what we are screwing into
and the proper holding pounds needed for said job
these THINGS usually do not happen
but
and here is that big but
been guilty myself of
not changing torq required when needed
causing
stripped screw heads, broken screws
or smashed product, etc

Thanks for the info everybody, I was just surprised because all three were on top of the cushion. We pulled the trailer over 1500 miles last season and found the screws yesterday after it had been sitting since thanksgiving . I wasn't too concerned about the screws but concerned if there was water getting behind the frame.
