Wife and I purchased a 2013 Rockwood Roo from RV Wholesalers in Lakeview, Ohio this spring. We drove to Ohio from Texas and saved quite a bit or so we thought. Have had camper on maiden voyage and found several things that needed warranty work when we returned home. The awning was never opened during inspection as it was raining off and on. Where I parked it in my driveway at home it could not be opened. First time opened was in New Mexico Mountains at NFS CG. The short arm closest to hitch had not been put in track. Takes special headed screw driver to take two small screws out that keep it from coming out. I finally got it into the track but had to slightly bend the wings so would not slide properly. The water pump will not create pressure for faucets and several other small things like the two deep cycle batteries are not worth $5.00 much less $150.pp they charged. When Wife & I returned we contacted RV Wholesalers and could not get a return call. My salesman was Dallas Henry and was great until papers were signed now he does not know me! I was told during looking for camper how great their NATIONWIDE WARRANTY was, HA Ha. When I called the one they listed for my area the dealer actually laughed at me over the phone. He said sure I will fix your problems, you pay me and then you try to collect from Forest River.
He wanted to know why they didn't tell me to call Value RV Sales, as they sell Forest River campers although not the Roo's. I contacted them and they were nothing but great, and said they would try to help me. This is where I really get pi&&&& off at both RVW & Forest River. RVW said to send pictures and estimate of cost of repairs. Value RV asked how they should go about showing no pressure on water llines etc. They got no response from FR. I called and got an e-mail from Carol Brannon, RVW's warranty advocate who said I would need to get Value RV to send pictures and estimate to FR, When I ask how she wanted pictures of no pressure in water lines, she just laughed and said that is a good one! When Value RV, Ms. Brannon and FR warranty rep all got together I thought things were going better, NOT. Was at dealer today and still nothing has been done, Value RV said last communication they had from FR was that since Value RV was not a Rockwood Roo dealer they would have to apply for a "pin" number. VRV complied and has not heard back from FR even though they have called several times. I realize this is long and I am fighting City Hall but dad gum I am getting frustrated. I would now never recommend RV Wholesalers or Forest River to anyone
. Other than this, my wife and I love our 233s. I just hate being basically lied to and ignored when I have a problem. Heck I even tried typing my problems over their chat line and It said back,"Hello Miles Windham, How may we help you", so and so is in the room and will be glad to help you, Then later it says I am sorry but so & so has left the room but so & so is now iln the room. Hello Miles Windham how may I help you and I type my problem all over only to later be told same thing, that So & So has left the room but this time it was my salesman Dallas Henry that it said was in the room, Hello Miles Windham, how may I help you, well at least I filnally had someone that I knew. Ten minuets later same thing, sorry but Mr. Henry has left the room, at this point I gave up and left the room which is what they were hoping all along. He-- of a way to run a railroad. I do feel better just venting as 1/3 of June and nearly 1/2 of July is gone and I am sitting at home and not enjoying my new camper.
