Fridge not cold

Going on our maiden voyage tomorrow in our new 2010 shamrock, my freezer is good n cold but my fridge is not. Any thoughts? My confession is that it was hot so I turned on the a/c and after calling my dealer I found out that you can't run the a/c on household power. (It shut off on me) he said I didn't hurt anything but now I wonder! Help! We leave at 1pm tomorrow!

If the freezer is cold it is working. It can take 10-12 hours to cool off if it is very hot outside. Also if the fridge is empty, there is really nothing inside to get cold and absorb heat when you open the door. I suggest putting half dozen cold drinks ( your choice) in fridge after about 3-4 hours. This will provide some mass to absorb heat when you open the door. Also the fridge will work much better if it is full or close to full.

It is cold this morning. When my husband checked on things last night he found a breaker tripped in the house. But all that matters now is that things are cold!! Thanks for your help. Now to head out with our new toy!

This post answered my question as well. Went to the Pinery Provincial park for four days. Freezer was very cold but fridge took overnight to get cold. I thought something was wrong as well. Thanks to the replies, I'll sleep better.

You have to understand that RV fridges/freezers don't work like residential ones.
They work by absorption cooling, which takes more time.
And since the fridge compartment is much bigger than the freezer, the process takes longer.
