We rarely run the fridge when driving. If we are going just a few hours away we turn on the fridge the day before and pack it with food. It stays cold the entire time we are traveling. Longer trips we run the propane

Ok silly question... How does lit propane which creates heat cool a fridge while towing? I use this method just wondering how the whole thing works?

RV fridges/freezer work by absorption, not by a compressor like one at home.
that's why the fridge seals have to be airtight.

Googliing RV absorption refridgerators will get you plenty of info to read.

A "cool" (pardon the pun) graphic that explains the process.

Herk, there are technical questions on this forum to which you're not able to contribute any helpful information. I've not seen any of them yet, of course, but I'm sure they must be out there somewhere.

I've a question to add to the thread Fridge works fine but light doesn't turn on even with new bulb. Any Ideas how to fix it or how to track down the source of the problem.

Bob, I am shocked. Perhaps an actual photo of the coils will help.

Seriously, Thanks for taking delivery of Laura's medical supplies for Goshen. Just in case Baxter confuses our regular monthly order with the "vacation" drop, I will wait till July 9th to put in that order (our home delivery).

Door switch? Do you have a volt meter?
