You know I have a ton of that kayak hardware from Hook1 and never would have thought to use it in this way. Brilliant! I don't really need to alter my 21DK as the shelves are usable but you do have my mind spinning in other ways I might use those parts.
Again, nice job!

Thanks for all of the kind words folks. Glad to share and give back. I've learned so much from all of you since joining this group last year.
A similar mod that I did a while back using the same parts helps to keep the garbage can in place while traveling:

Well, if you want to see stupid, then check this out! Not only are the same useless shelves in my friends camper, but look at where the faucet is located! Honestly, it's like knee height. And then, it looks like the actual shower head mount is on the opposite wall so the shower faces the toilet. What a mess. It's a coleman HTT

I'm just trying to picture my 6'6" self trying to adjust the water temperature mid-shower in that Coleman.
Actually... let's not try and picture that.

I created a similar mod for the shelves in my shower. I used Command Hooks mounted sideways and a small bungie. The hooks kept me from putting a hole in the shower wall.
I only have it hold small bottles of shampoo and soap [not the giant economy size].
Has worked fine for about 2 years.

I also mounted one above the hole to use the top of the shape for a shelf...that one is actually at a better height and not limited as much to size as the one inside the formed shape.

I have to agree with Wicked.
I think it's upside down.

Just got rid of the toothbrush holder and soap dish.
Toothbrush holder can't fit our toothbrushes cause the holes are cut too small.
So, took them both off and replaced with a small glass shelf mounted with rivets and the bracket covers the holes.
Works great and it's more useful.

I tried to do suction cup baskets on the shower wall and they won't stick because of the textured walls. IKEA makes a dial up suction cup I can try, but it doesn't look too good. I wanted to try 3m sticky hooks for the bathroom walls, and I'm not sure whether that would stick either.

This is a good idea and you did a great job. I don't have any shelves in my TT but I would borrow this idea if I did.

Me, too. Wife HATES them. Will also be removing the round towel holder, too. She HATEs it, too.
Don't know what will replace them yet.

I agree with the towel ring. What were they thinking. It's right over the faucet!

took mine out first thing! Although our round towel holder is in an ok spot, between the door and the front of the cabinet. Not bad. where'd you get the glass shelf? I have holes not, but they're still better than the ugly toothbrush and soap holder. Who uses bar soap anymore on their sinks?

The Container store has great selection on shelves. You can go with glass or acrylic for the shelf.

Ok..I am the oddball....I like the toothbrush holder. Now if I could just find skinny toothbrushes that would fit.
The soap shelf? Not so fond of that.
