I read this thread yesterday...
Stereo speaker inside stopped working
It got me to look at something that has been bugging me about my new 2014 Shamrock 183 I picked up this past May.
When I play a stereo CD through any or all of the inside speakers, I only get 1 track of the stereo pair. I took out the Genesis stereo in the cabinet using the info I got from the previous thread. I found that only the Right channel was hooked up to the inside A and B speaker. THe A speaker toward the rear bed and the B speaker over the sink were both playing the right channel only. The wire coding is printed on the back of the Genesis unit. Using the color coded wires, I snipped the rear A speaker wires and hooked up the Left channel A speaker wires to the rear speaker. This now gives me Left and Right channels inside the coach at the expense of no B channel, only A.
I wish there was an easy way to fish additional wires over to the rear and under sink speakers. I might be inclined to add a second stereo speaker to form a pair in both those locations. Unless I get some inspiration on fishing those wires from this forum, I suppose I will add a small set of bookshelf speakers under the dinette, near the front bunk and hook those to the B channel wires that are now not hooked to anything.
For the cost of a cheap set of speakers, I cannot for the life of me figure why FR decided to not hook up stereo speakers inside the coach... but I think I know why... save a couple of $$.
