Glass top for Suburban range in our new 2014 Roo.....

How do you keep it open and up all the way to use 3 burners. One would think there is a clip on the underside of the range hood, but I found nothing. Of course the manual made no mention of the cover.
Any ideas folks......?

Jeff

Sorry for the lack of better pix, but to open it up fully, it just awkwardly lays against the mini blind top frame.

Is it hinged?
Kind of looks that way to me.

Our metal one is also hinged about 1/3 the way up and the top will fold down and rest on the back of the stove and the whole top slides down in a slot in the hinge.

It is supposed to act as a splash guard but there is nothing to keep it held up straight and firmly I'm afraid it will just fall forward and break the glass

What happens if you pick it up (as you look at it) just behind the hinge?

Sounds like a problem as well. Ours flips completely back so the 2 pieces are back to back.

Mine definitely will not do that. I will take it apart and take a further look.

The hinges are all kaddywampus. Since it is brand new....3 weeks old, I will just drop off the entire glass top at Grumbines to replace.
