Good price for 2006 Roo 233?

Hi All - Newbie here - been researching all summer for a hybrid, pretty much settled on a 183, but have found a 2006 Roo 233 on craigslist, and would love to save money vs. buying new. Seller has it at $9000, nada says 7000-8440. I offered 7500 but he is holding out for at least 8k. Do you think it is worth the 8k? Looks to be in good shape (it's 2.5 hrs away so only pictures at this point) and is selling with an equalizer. Just not sure if a unit that is 8 years old already is worth the cost? Thanks for any input!

It would help knowing what area of the country you are at.
Hybrids fetch different prices depending on the region.
For example, hybrids selling in California, sell for more than high NADA.
In the Midwest, they sell for much lower than NADA values.

You would have to look at it first, he has more to lose then you if he wants to hold out for the extra $500, you don't specify where you live. if it is north, he will have to pay the storage costs for the next 4 months as it sits for the winter not being used, I look at this time of year [fall/winter] being the buyers market not the sellers esp. on used TTs'

Thanks for your responses - I am in Illinois, seller in Wisconsin. It seems like things are selling quick though, looked at an 09 cherokee grey wolf about a month ago and several people were going for it. And looking through craigslist listings, many seem to be priced higher than what I think they're worth. RV dealer out here told me they've had a great year, so I guess lots of people are buying!

If he's tossing in the WDH, it might be worth it. You'd pay about $500 for a WDH anyway.

at this time of the year, you can probably get a new 2013 233S(233 with a slideout) for $14-15k right now, where you live.

Price is good. It has to be in great condition to be considered. Check for water leaks/ delamination of outer skin is a must. If your not sure how to do inspect it, bring someone wuth you.

Remember to check the bunk ends. Especially the front and slides...if the fiberglass looks wavy or bubbled, walk away. Press gently on all walls gently. It should not feel soft and squishy.
