Happiness fading fast

2015 Shamrock 21DK...

Fell in love with the floor plan, loved the camper at 1st site.. couple issues but resolved...
We have used it about every month since....
At almost 4 years have had it with this piece of junk.... Its one thing after another.... small crap to begin with... getting bigger as time goes on...

2nd fridge now not working, delaminating issues, bed frames warping...
run around from the dealer....

If it has anything to do with FR or CW....wont touch it.

Any dealer would be better.
Any other manufacturer will be same or worse.

Good luck.

Most of those issues listed are not common . they do pop-up in the lemons that get put out . . if all rv's did this there would be less rv's on the road . going on 4 years with my xlr and no issues like his . in fact just a bit of resealing here and there normal maintenance .

Same fridges in any other make of trailer.

Neither FR nor CW make fridges.

You'll find that all of the RV brand names put out a whole lot of good ones...and a few bad ones.

Unfortunately, those that get good ones rarely speak...

But those that get the bad ones...

Well, let me just say that there are brand-hater websites and Facebook pages for every single brand out there!

And that hatred runs real deep...

And don't even try to defend any brand there as you'll end up being the target of their daily firing squads!

They do make for some good reading, though...

Especially the daily chimes:

"Anybody hire a lawyer yet?"

"Why is there not a class action lawsuit against XXX-Brand RV???

"Is there a lemon law in the state of XXX?"

"Picked up my brand new RV yesterday and am 1000 miles from home already when XXX happened...ruined my families trip of a lifetime from Florida to the top of Alaska and all other states in between! I'm gonna sue somebody!"

Or my personal favorite:

"Anyone ever had XXX go wrong with your RV? How could this happen on my brand new RV that I spent good money on?"

Anywayz...

Just because someone has been "doing it for years with no problems" doesn't mean you should!

That is not good and a bit puzzling. We are at the end of our third season with our 2016 Shamrock 23ws and have not experienced the issues you seem to have. We still love ours after towing it close to 10,000 miles in three years. There have been some small issues, but nothing serious - however our dealer is not CW either.

Same here on our 2016 23ws.......very minimal issues, but that could be because our camping season is short in Maine (4 months).

Once again, don't take it to a dealer. Use an independent service only shop, even for warranty. Much better results all the way around.

The thing I don't like about these venting threads is that you only hear one side of the story. We have no idea what kind of maintenance was performed in the last four years.

Even on brand new RVs, I personally check things like roof, tires, brakes, bearings, suspension, seals, electrical, and plumbing, as soon as I get it home. Guess I don't trust anybody when they tell me it has been checked out. Saves me time and problems down the road. I believe I have touched up caulking on every brand new unit I have ever owned, on the first day. Also always had to adjust brakes and repack bearings that were supposably checked before delivery.

We did have one unit that was just a lemon all the way around. So we didn't keep it long. So it does happen.
