Heads up for new IKSS owners

I went under my unit today " looking for trouble" and found this.
This is the big slide motor and the motor wiring was touching the manual over ride rod.
This would eventually eat all the wire insulation and cause a short....
I got the over ride rod out and put the wire on the other side of the motor so it will not touch anything that moves....
If you Have a Roo with big slide, take a look on that.

THANKS for the heads up !!! I just checked my 23IKSS and do not have this issue, but I also secured the wire to be sure there is no future issue.

This forum is GREAT - these tips from fellow owners can really help avoid issues.

THANKS again for posting !!

Thank you for the heads up! We'll put it on our list of things to check out when our 23IKSS arrives!

Maman,
This is the only thing I can think of that its not on the PDI list on the forum.

As suggestion for the first improvements, I added a clear plastic corner guard to the horizontal corners of the cabinet on the entrance of the beds, therefore they will not wear with traffic and if you hit your leg there, it will not hurt. Shop Miller LLC Clear Plastic Corner Guard at Lowes.com
We also added more shelves to the clothes cabinets so we can store more clothes.

Thanks! We will add it to our PDI list or at least be sure to check it out while there.

And thanks for the cabinet corner suggestion - you must have suspected how clumsy I am!

Stuff happens. . . I put corner guards from Menards in both of our HTTs. On the vertical corners by the door and the bottom of all cabinets. (I saw wear on those early on in the 21SS from dragging stuff in and out.)

X2 on those horizontal edges in front of the beds! Those things hurt like the dickens getting out of bed!

I added the corner guards on pretty much everything. Inside the draws, the island - everywhere. I was under my 2017 IKSS and noticed the support bracket that goes from the black/grey water outlet to the frame came off at the frame and needs to be tacked on again. You may want to check that as well.
