Heated Holding Tanks

Considering purchace of the Roo or Shamrock 183, to camp in late October in northern PA & NY, besides the summer. Where daytime high temps can be 60's, but overnight lows could be mid 20's, or lower. An option for the 183 is heated holdings tanks. Per the brochure: "No need to use the furnace to heat tanks when traveling". What about the water pump and water lines, could they freeze up and burst during travel? When parked at camp and running the furnace, will enough heat be shed into the trailer walls and floor to keep the tanks and water lines from freezing? Has anyone tried using a 120 volt heating tape, the kind to protect home water lines? Wrap it around holding tanks and RV water lines. An RV purchase for us would be futile if we could not use the toilet, shower, etc in cool weather camping.

The Tanks have heat pads, our sewer pipes and valves have heat pads, this is Fresh/Black/and Gray! None of these are 4 Season! If you run Furnace and leave acess doors Open you should be OK,No Garden Supply Hoses! Youroo!!

Some brands have enclosed underbellies with heat ducts. Problem with that is you must run the furnace to keep the tanks from freezing. Most of us,when camping with electric hook ups, use a space heater instead of the propane furnace. No heat to the tanks this way.

With heat pads, turn them on...tanks stay warm.

Don't forget your outside shower when camping in the 20s. It will freeze quickly.

I thought the heat pads were only on the exits of the black and grey tanks.
