The bolt under red circle is where it is pulling out of fiberglass

The 14 ikss has a different latch system now. I know others on here have disapproved of the new system as well.

Couldn't zoom the picture in far enough to see detail. But from the explanation, it sounds as if the bolt needs to be backed by a large flat washer. Is there a way to get to the back side of the bolt?

I have the 2014 so my latches are the new style and I think it is a great improvement.

just so you know, FR and other hybrid manufacturers have been using the cargo latch system that you and i have, over 10 years now.
what happened to you is unusual. it's been a proven system throughout the industry and much better than the old screw-clamp system that preceded them.

i would trust the fix for now and have it documented. that way if it happens again, you should be able to get the bunk door replaced with new latches.
