Hello my friends

I have now taken a few trips with my roo 23SS. Here are a few things I learned.

1) Buy local
2) I had a remote inspection company look at the trailer, ok the guy had no experience with hybrids. He mentioned that tires were a little old and should be replace, well he was correct, I blew one on the way home last week
3) after I got it home I found water damage on the bunks the back being the worse
4) the guys install my new hitch with the wrong ball. It caused the sway socket to crack, the folks at Equalizer sent replacement.
5) the water system was not working, cracked filter cover on the pump
6) the awning was not closing correctly, in my attempt to fix it I made things worse. I made a appointment to have looked at, but on the way home from our first trip ,the awning blew open

My lesson, buy local.

I'm assuming that your Roo was used.
Did you buy from a private party?

I know many hybrid owners that bought used from local dealers and got ZERO help with problems.
The minute they drove off the lot, the dealer washed their hands of them.

At least by buying fairly local, you have the opportunity to have a complete and thorough PDI. All the items listed should have been discovered by the remote inspection company. Any possibility of a cash settlement from the inspector? Sounds incompetent to me.

We drove 2000 miles one way, to pick up our new 23SS.
The dealer gave us a thorough 3 hour PDI and even installed the WDH we bought with us, for free.
FR found us dealers in our local area, that would do the warranty work.

We saved over $4000, even after trip costs.
