Help With Water System

I have a 2007 Roo 233. I thought I'd get familiar with my system while it's nice out today. I'm so confused!! FW hose goes into the filter (but there's another hose extended out before it enter the filter. I'm not sure what all the hoses do! Please help! I attached a picture of what I see.

The top dark blue hose coming down is the one coming out of the FW (before entering filter). The bottom blue on the left is entering the bottom of the HW heater. Top red hose is coming out of top of HW heater (hot water line).
