Home made awning cover for under $20

I got this idea from Trailer Life magazine, purchased two 10 foot aluminum gutters and slid them into each other to get the length I needed(17 feet) and then taped with aluminum tape. Wedged the outer edge of the gutter into the RV gutter and then let the cover assembly lay over the awning. Have also attached a photo.

Do you leave this on while driving down the road? If so, what keeps it from flying off?

Where do you store two 10' gutters while you're traveling?

It sounded like he only uses this when the rv is not in use...like only when it's in storage.

Got it. Just use while "in storage."

Maybe a strange question, but why would you want to cover your awning?

Since it appears to be outside storage I'd assume to protect the awning fabric from uv
