Home Made PUGS

Pics of my home-made bunk-end covers.

I used industrial strength velcro on the inside lip of the door and then on either side of the "emergency" blankets I bought online (Cabela's).

I leave the covers attached when I close the doors and have not had any problems.

i had the same blankets that i got from REI. other than the velcro, that's how i did mine.
the problem with the 5x7 size of these, they aren't big enough to cover the longer front bunk. the rear one fits them perfectly.
if you good on a sewing machine, getting a third blanket and cutting it up and sewing them onto the other two, will make a better setup.
but that's why PUGs are so popular, they custom-fit them for your particular hybrid/popup.

i was lucky that a former Roo owner from another hybrid forum, sent me his PUGs for only the cost of shipping.
the much larger PUG easily cover the front bunk.
i gave my generic blankets to a friend that has a Bantam hybrid.

Yeah, the pics I posted are of the front bunk. The little bit that is short doesn't bother me, and the rear and side bunks (233S) have extra to overhang.

DW is a wiz on the sewing machine and sewed the front covers for our previous Trailcruiser hybrid from 2 space blankets. Held on with small clips from HD. You can barely make out the reflectix inserts for the tent end window areas. Kinda miss that hybrid.

This doesn't look like rocket science. Why don't the manufacturers include some sort of insulation on their bunk roofs??? Then you wouldn't have all those clips.
