Hook ups while unattended for long period?

We'll be leaving our camper at a site for the month of July. We plan on using it only on the weekends.

What's best protocol for leaving camper unattended for the week? Ok to leave power connected for the fridge? Turn off water? Pull in slides?

I'd retract the awning at least, which I do each day when away from the camper.

Water off.
Power on, the beer isn't gonna keep itself cold. I always lock my power box lid anyway just for habit and I kinda like my power conditioner.
Awnings in.
Slides out mostly because I would have to get on top to clean them due to a lack of foresight and no slide out toppers.
Cheaper camp chairs go under the trailer and the gravity chairs go inside.

I'd still lock it.
Fire dept has bolt cutters.
Takes about 3 minutes for the darn trailer to burn down anyway, FD will still be putting there boots on.

Youroo, I haven't been in a fire truck yet that doesn't carry bolt cutters. I'm starting on my 20th year as a firefighter.

I did think of something else though.
Propane, it gets shut off.

I kill my water if I am leaving longer than a few hours (if I remember). Too many flood stories in these forums and the spinning water filter only adds to my concern.

Probably overkill, but I see no advantage to leaving it on.

As a permanent camper we only spend weekends at our trailer. Power stays on, water is off. Awning in, slides stay out. Propane stays on to keep fridge cold in case of power outage. This is what most of the other permanents do as well.

Not sure about the lock on the pedestal though. Unless you're worried someone will steal the power cord? In my experience, it's propane tanks that seem to disappear more often than anything else.

Don't leave your water on when you leave for more than a while....I speak from experience since I've had two water leaks erupt that would have destroyed our RV. We ALWAYS shut it down if we leave for at least a couple hours. It's worth the effort. Shut the propane off. Leave the electricity on and set the AC to 80 or something so it'll keep the RV from mildewing. We leave the slides out....but it's an absolute must to not turn your back on the awnings. I've seen a couple RV owners cry who left their awnings out.....and it happens very fast. We're full timers and have been RV'ing for more than 10 years and I've learned a thing or two.

I've left my trailer while Halloween camping over a weeks period. I've left the power plugged in to keep the fridge cool and one celiling fan on while leaving another ceiling vent open allowing for circulation. July can be harsh on a trailer without air circulation. Water off.

Most cg's require you to unplug while sitting there for short term camping (two consecutive weekends, monthly, etc). Unless you're on your own meter, but that's usually the seasonal guys. That's those weekend specials or spring and fall camping in my area do it. re you paying for weekdays you're not there?

Water off. Slides out. Electric on with post locked to protect my surge protector.
Awning locked up and area clear of chairs and anything easily blown away by wind or carried off easily.

We leave AC on if in warm weather or warm climate just turn it high like 80 degrees. Keeps the chocolate from melting and mildew at bay.
