Hot water tank help asap

So I don't know what they did to the Roo when they dewinterized it. So I don't know if they opens the valves on the hot water heater. So which way is open? I know it's a stupid question, but I'm running out of time and need to make sure everything is functional by tomorrow night when we leave, and I have a client having a baby tonight/tomorrow so I'll be with her tonight until baby is born. HELP!!

When the handle is positioned in the same direction as the pipe it's open. When it's positioned opposite of the direction of the pipe it's closed.

RV Water Heater Bypass Systems

In the first picture the top and bottom valves are open. The center valve is the by pass valve and is closed.

Hope this helps!

Got it, thank you!! Everything had water running once I figured it out and then a piece on the back of the toilet was spraying water everywhere. Thought the water pipe wasn't on tight, but nope, the part that the pipe attaches to has a hole in it. So I had to take the toilet up and trying to figure out how to replace the broken piece.

Sounds like the toilet water flush valve has some freeze damage. Can't fix those, just replace. You probably have the Thetford Aqua Magic V toilet. Check your original paperwork. If so, you can pick up another valve at the local dealer/rv store. Part # should be 31705 and comes with a new seal for the bottom of the toilet as well.

A phillips screwdriver is about all you need to replace the valve and the replacement should cost you around $30.

man that sucks - if you have an external shower take the head from that one if nothing else gives you a good excuse to get an oxygenetics shower head - they are on sale at camping world this week too which makes it even better
