How do you level your Roo?

We got our Roo this summer and have not put any levels on the trailer yet. My Husband is not sure of the best product to use and where to put it on the camper. We were leveling the camper by putting water in the sinks and checking the level in the sink and then watching how it drained. It seemed pretty successful but I am sure there is an easier way.

Any suggestions?

Level the Roo like any other trailer.

I use one of these in the fridge.

Cheap little bubble level. I usually level within a 1/2 bubble. No need to be exact. I also carry a 6" level with me in the tool box.

I have been using a 12" level on the counter top. Its kinda of a pain running in and out of the trailer though.

Supposedly you can do the same leveling with a 12-24" level on the side of the camper holding it vertically. It might save you time running in and out of the camper.

I put a level indicator right on the front of the trailer just under the bunk door so I can see it at the hitch. That's the one we worry about when backing in. If it's off, then leveling blocks are called for. I put the other one on the street side at the front. Once I've disconnected the TV, I can crank the front jack up/down until it's level and the indicator is right there. I agree with getting within 1/2 a bubble, that's good enough.

I think using any kind of level indicator inside the trailer is terribly inconvenient, as mentioned above.

You do need to make sure the trailer is absolutely level before you install the level indicators, or you'll always be off.

I have a Roo 21ss with a super slide on the one side and I found that I needed to have the driver side slightly higher. When I extended the slide, it would level itself. I guess due to the weight on the slide it was heavier on the driver side. I use a carpenter level to determine if its leveled

Mine does the same thing.

Probably a bit off topic but, the rear seems so light that the stabilizers tend to lift it up making it pitch nose down. The front stabilizers stay solid and wont lift the trailer at all. I'm guessing because the rears are so much closer to the axle than the fronts, or the fresh water tank in the front provides enough weight to keep it steady.

I level mine the same as I did with my pop-up. I level it side-to-side, with a 2 foot level on the rear bumper. Once level, I level it front to back with the 2 foot level on the frame.

I'll then put a bubble level on the floor and counter to double check.

I have the Hopkins levels mounted on my camer too. I've been using the Lynx Levelers but like the Anderson ones you show there. Just watched a YouTube video on them and might have to add them to my Christmas list.

You will not be disappointed they work great. No more boards or other levelesr and you get it exact every time. I did have to shave a little off of one them due to the space in between my two axles/tires. But best thing I have ever bought.

This could be an issue with my Roo. I had bought this chock before I got the camper and had to sell it because the tires were too close to each other for it to fit between them. Ended up going with the X-Chock.


What did you do to shave it down?

I just cut an inch off one of them at the tappered end.

I have a different unit but I'm low tech. Inside I use a bulleye level in different areas along with seeing how the bathroom door opens and closes. Once I found out that the rear was not as level as I thought and the bathroom door would not stay latched.

Our roo came with a bullet level on the power tongue, surprisingly accurate, quick and easy to level.

I've got that, too, on my Barker. I also put the Hopkins levels on the curb side trailer corner.

Someone mentioned an app - got one or two of those free ones, too. Lots of good tools.

Yep, I have a small level I use.

I use a 2' level on the floor inside the door to get it as level as I can side to side (using wood planks and Lynx Levelers as needed). Then I use a bulls eye level mounted on the tongue to get close back to front and then get it perfect with the 2' level on the floor. The 2' level is also used to get the sat dish tripod as plumb as possible.
