How far back does the sink island go

Im interested in buying a used 231KSS. The feature I like the most is the island with the sinks in it. I'm wondering which was the first year model that used the kitchen island? I can't afford a new one so I was wondering how far back in year models I should go looking. Thanks.

2013 was the first model year for the IKSS, The build dates per yellow stickers would of started early in 2012 but 2013 was the first (technical)model year. Sometimes manufacturers do some goofy things though when assigning years and such.

Good choice. We have one and really enjoy it. Since it is r v show time, dealers may be taking some in on trade. Suggest you let local dealers know what you want , then they can call you if they get one.

Our unit was a 2014 and had a cabinet door on the end near the entry door and 2 cabinet doors across from the dinette table. I've looked at newer ones and it seems they don't have the extra doors. If that is true, I would think one would have to get on their hands and knees to find things way back in there. Those extra doors sure made life easier putting things away and retrieving them.

To answer the original question, all of the 23 IKSS model years have the island in the kitchen. That is the "IK" in the 23IKSS model name. The SS stands for Super Slideout or something like that.
The original IKSS models had cabinet doors on all four sides. Then after a year or two they changed to just doors on the oven side and the dinette side. That's what our early 2015 has. More recently, they made the island cabinets a little smaller and now there are only doors on the oven side.
Hope this helps. Great floor plan.

Forgot to say that we had 2 cabinet doors on the oven side as well.

How far back does the sink island go

I have a 2015 purchased and built early 2015 under cabinet sink with only two doors by stove side. I know some units have the above counter plastic sink but when I got mine I had to take the traps and strainers apart and reseal everything noticed a small leak when washing dishes but since fixing it right have had good luck with the double sinks, but I have the beige under counter model bought mine 4-2015 it was built 2-2015

They made the island slightly smaller to keep the table from scratching the island when traveling. We scratched ours once. Since then we cover the end of the table with a towel. It works.

So many changes. My 2015 has doors on two sides. Never had a table rub, but the oven door rubbed (a post from long ago). The third side would be nice to gain access when the slides are in.

We have a 2013 IKSS and we love the island storage. It has two doors on the oven side, two doors on the dinette side and a single door on the end facing the front bunk. It is so easy to find things and store things in there without having to get on your hands and knees. We bought ours in early 2014 and feel like our unit must have been on the dealers lot for over a year. They ended up having to replace both bunk ends as they had delaminated and the canvas was all moldy from being opened for so long. The only thing we are not crazy about is having to make up the beds each time we stop. We have looked at some other pull behind TTs thinking we might change to one with a bed that we don't have to make up every stop, but we would lose so much in storage and floor space it just doesn't seem worth it. Good luck finding your used IKSS...you should love it!
