We use ours on every trip we take. We did the same when we had our Litehouse 23SS with the smaller neo-angle type shower. The convenience of being able to use it when we want and not having to drag everything to the bath-house. Occassionally we would have had to wait for a shower to be open to use. Still remember the good old days of making it to the shower, getting clean and then getting rained on the way back to the Pop-up.

quizpro I would be careful how much weight you put in there. I had a friend that stored a TV in there and it eventually cracked the floor. Just a thought

SO, all of you who use the shower a question. How many days will it last with being conservative and changing to a better shower head.

We are about to go on a 10 day trip and if everyone uses the shower and everything else. I envision refilling and emptying many times, am I way off base on this.

Most replies state they use it, but no one has said for how long they camp and how long the water lasts.

Sure would appreciate any help on this.

Super Thanks to everyone, this is a great place for info.

Also, to some. I am referring to the 23SS ROO. I understand others have larger trailers and 5 ers. I would probably use the showers if I owned them, but I don't....

In the winter we hang a clothes rod in the shower for coats, snowpants etc, boots go in the bottom.

Hi gwizpro,
How long or how many showers depends on several factors. How conservative you can be with water usage in the shower and the size of your holding tank are two main factors.
When we are boondocking we do the military shower method as mention by a previous poster. Get wet quickly, turn off the water, soap and scrub up, turn on the water and rinse off. With some practice you can take a shower using only a few gallons of water. We learned this from our tent camping days using one of those 5 gallon solar shower bags - my wife and I could both take a shower with one 5 gallon bag.
Here's another gray water tank conservation tip - as long as you maintain proper distance from ponds, lakes, rivers and streams and use biodegradible soap - wash your dishes outside. This helps a lot to save on gray water tank storage when boondocking.
Of course, when there are full hook-ups we are a little more liberal but I still try to conserve water.
Hope that helps.

We use ours for temporary storage as needed but once on-site, it's a shower for sure. We drag race and wow does it make the difference at the end of the day being able to get cleaned up for the evening.

gwizpro, we also have a 23SS and there's just the DW and me, most of the time.
it's hard to specify how long because of the other FW uses like the sink and toilet.
but, we both take "Navy" showers and we've gone 5 days, each taking 3 showers.
but we learned to conserve water from being popup owners for 18 years.
i do have a 6 gallon water jug from Walmart. i can refill the FW tank in 5 fills.

if your family doesn't learn how to conserve, yes, you will be filling it a lot if you don't have water hookups. and the gray tank will also fill quickly, much quicker than the black tank.

a compromise would be the kids shower in the trailer and the adults at the campground showers.
