How often do you protect your bunk ends?

DH was wondering how often those in sun harsh states treat your canvas. We are using PUG's so that should help with protection. Our OM gives suggestions on products but not frequency. That's for your input :-)

we use ours almost every time we camp.
first, since we prefer wooded campgrounds, the PUGs keep the canvas clean.
second, we sometimes like to sleep in, so the PUGs provide darkening.
third, they always help control condensation.

living in NorCal, our temps rarely go to the extreme, so we don't always need them for temp control.

do you use the 303? bio-kleen? I was curious if there's a "it lasts 100 hours" concept for the protectant? Just curious....

i've never put anything on my canvas ends, except to clean them.

there's no need to "waterproof" them. they are vinylized canvas. waterproofing canvas is from back in the day when it was just canvas.
some do use seam sealer at the seams, if the threads don't swell into the holes.
this is mentioned in the canvas manufacturer's instructions.
