How to change bulbs on over-dinette lamp on '11 Roo?
I've been racking my brain on how to remove the cover on the lamp over the dinette table of our '11 Rockwood Roo 21SS! Tried unscrewing the center knob, prying down on the fixture, etc., but am afraid of breaking something!
Can anybody help?? Please see attached photo of lamp.
Thanks in advance for any of the group's vast knowledge.

You should be able to unscrew the center knob??

Try gently pulling down on the knob with pliers while turning.

You should not need pliers. We have the same light fixture in our Windjammer. The knob will unscrew, have your other hand on the glass shade or it will fall to the floor. There will be two bulbs inside (I cannot remember the bulb number). Easy fix.

The reason I suggested using the pliers was so that he could grip the knob while applying downward pressure because it appears that the thread is turning in the housing. It should only be finger tight.

If the knob has been tuned on too tight or bottomed out then the whole center threaded tube might be coming out.

That's fine, let it come out. Once you've got it off, you can separate the knob and the shaft on the table in front of you. Then you can re-install the shaft, then change the bulbs, then put the shade back on and turn on the knob again.

Actually, it's not that the threaded tube is turning, I cannot get it to turn at all.

Then someone 'hand' tightened it too tight. You may need a pair of pliers to twist the knob, lefty lucy.... Put a cloth or rag over the knob so that you do not scar up the knob. If it is that tight, you will probably scar it up anyway by gripping it. The center shaft will probably come with the knob as you turn it.

Well, thanks everyone! I tried pliers, and even vise grips (clamped tightly on the center knob), but no joy!
Finally, I just grabbed the glass globe and turned it counter-clockwise for all I was worth, and it started to turn -- after about 2 rotations, the center knob and it's trim piece fell onto the table! Inside, I found three wedge-base 12V-18W bulbs.
I will be trying the 48-LED flat panels I got for the rest of the roof lights, and have high hopes!
