Hybrid Repair/parts

I have a 2001 Shamrock m-21 which recently had some water damage to the front fold down bed. My local rv dealership emailed Forest River regarding parts availability on Wednesday (6/12) and as of today (6/17) they (Forest River) still have not responded. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there another way to source parts?

they may not still have parts for that old of a trailer. but they might, depending on what parts you're talking about.
you can call FR parts dept. yourself, instead of believing that the dealer contacted them.
have heard that excuse from dealerships many times. usually means no one there actually contacted FR.

I did contact FR this afternoon. The part is available. So far I have heard from three different dealers, "we will check on that part, in the mean time - can we show you a new unit." I am discouraged at the blatant dishonesty. My family loves camping, but this experience is kinda ruining it for us

In my case, the framing on the front fold down separated and caused the water damage. We are having it repaired at a dealership in Wisconsin. We have not had any other leak/water damage. I do regular maintenance...checking all seams & caulking every year - around the windows too. We also store our unit in a garage year round, which helps tremendously with water problems.
