I hung my Weber Q

I didn't much care for the grill supplied with my Shamrock. I love my weber so I made brackets from a damaged pop up canopy frame an 1/2 inch conduit so I could use the factory hanging device.

IMHO the grill is too close to the fiberglas. Maybe you could extend it 4-6" or add a heat shield.
The Q runs hotter than stock RV grills.

We paid to have the external propane hookup for our Q grill. Turns out, regulators interfere.

Easy conversion to do, like the OP did, to remove the regulator from the Q. Can even put a quick connect on it for times you use it elsewhere with the bottle.

X2. Also the initial heat might bubble your decal first. Just sayin'

Nice mod, may be too close, be careful not to scorch the side. anyone have a easy trick to clean the Q? Wire brush seems to loose wires when brushing.......

The Flame appears to be the same but I haven't cooked with it yet. I installed quick connects on the original regulator so I can used the little green bottles too.

I installed 1/4-20 x 1 1/2" bolts in place of the originals, the a nut for a spacer then the bracket.

I installed a cable stop otherwise the lid would rest against the metal bracket attatched to the trailer. I have about 3 inches. I agree that it may be too close, I'm going to monitor it closely and add a shield if necessary. I didn't want to extend it too far, it's pretty heavy.

I used Mr. heater fittings. I had to modify the male connector. There are photos on my profile page.

We have never had any success with brass brushes, but the Weber grill brush works well.

Your mod only works with the model 100/1000 series without side shelves. A better solution is to purchase the portable stand and either use it as is or remove the metal hardware and mount just the composite top to the side of the tt using folding shelve brackets.

it looks great and a good idea. I was a little curious about the weight too. I never used the grill that came with the camper. I like my Q and I never really could understand why they would put the bracket under the awning. I was afraid of the smoke making a mess of the awning fabric. Great idea.

I am just afraid of having grease get onto the side of the camper. I try to grill on a picnic table with my weber Q.

After using the RVQ for 6 years under an awning on 2 different campers, there hasn't been any problems with grease on the camper or smoke, etc on the awning. Love the RVQ. I even have a spare when this goes to pot!

I believe I have the model 1000 (I don't remember). Do you mean will only work with the factory regulated gas supply? I did remove the Weber regulator.

I generally try to not resurrect old threads, but I see that the OP is still active on the forum and I would love to hear if they ever had any issues with this mod (heat on the siding and/or weight on the brackets).
