I'm almost official. PDI monday!!!
Stoked!!! Found a 233s not too far from me and was able to agree on a price. I was set to make the drive to RVW but this dealer came in close enough for me to stay local. Now, it's a Shamrock, kinda wanted the Roo, but that's just petty. I have yet to see it in person but it's got everything I wanted on it. Build date was late Jan so she hasn't been sitting there too long either.
PDI should be interesting as they admitted they don't sell, or keep, many of them.
Fortunately for me, I've been scouring this forum for 6 months and feel I'm a bit ahead of the curve. Thanks again for all who contribute on here and the wealth of knowledge you've shared.
Fingers crossed!!!!!
Stoked!!!!

Even if your dealer isn't completely versed in the intricacies of the Rock, the systems are the same as the ones in a full hardwire camper. There are only 2 choices of refrigerators, water heaters , furnaces.....you get the point.
Get the second year warranty, video the pdi if possible, make sure everything works and you are comfortable making everything work. You will be fine and ready to camp.

Congratulations on your new camper! Be sure to make sure everything works. If there is any issues I would recommend getting it fixed before bringing it home.

Yes a great site here and congrats on your new Shamrock....
If you have a smart phone and are not familiar with the workings of an RV make sure to take some video of the walk thru and how things work... You'll be happy you did.

Just some friendly advice,... Make the PDI your PDI! Take as long as you need to learn everything, and make sure you're satisfied with everything before you tow it off the lot. I know, a lot of folks are anxious to get there baby home, but being in a hurry can come back to bite you. Ask lots of questions if you don't understand something. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. Some suggest video taping the PDI with a smart phone. Nothing wrong with that, but be courteous and ask first. Some states have laws prohibiting the recording or video taping someone without their consent, and it's just common courtesy. Most of all take the opportunity to build a rapport with your dealer. Chances are you'll have to come back to that dealer at some point and you don't want to be known as "that guy".
Best of luck to ya!

welcome to the Shamrock family, getting new camper is so exciting. we are very happy with ours...
we also were looking at a Roo, and ended up in the Shamrock due to better price, better colors and better dealer.

Get some Pop up gizmos for the tent ends. They will help keep them clean, cooler and less condensation. We had our 233s for four years and loved it. Moved to a larger trailer this year

Double down on the don't let them rush you.
Take a temperature probe and watch how your furnace cycles. My 2017 2618 Ultra V has a problem that makes it short cycle and after a year the manufacture is still denying that there is a problem and refusing warranty coverage when the dealership, Suburban furnace and myself say there is a problem. Probably only an issue with my model but so far my experience has been that Forest River won't spend a penny they don't have to to help a customer out. I suppose that if we are able to prove it is the ducting it could bring on some sort of a recall.
