Here are the photos you wanted to see. Yes i made the drawer under the fridge bigger as again it was wasted space. The dinning table extension lets us comfortably fit 6 for dinner if we are eating inside. For the shelving i just used extra prefinished 3/4" maple plywood that I had. Yes mine is a February 2014 model. If you have questions D_TWEEZY just let me know. Hope this helps and have fun!

We've searched and can't find the heater model you used. Manufacturers website indicated it is no longer being produced. Havelooked for replacement but so far no luck.

It's too bad it has been discontinued. Any brand model will work as long as it fits the opening. Take the false door off the bottom of the entertainment center and measure the width, height and depth you have to work with. I believe my model was 18" wide. Its in storage so i cant measure it now. I actually had to enlarge the opening with a jigsaw to make it fit. Hope you can find something that works. It's a great solution to provide heat to the front of the 23ikss. Hope this helps.

Just checked on amazon and they do carry almost the same model that i have although the price has gone up quite a bit. If you are willing to pay that much do an amazon search for "Classic Flame 18EF022GRA" that is just about the same model I used.

Great mods Mike. I have time to noodle on them for next year since I've already closed up and winterized ours.

Mikewcrook.... Just looking back through your photos, and I have a few hopefully quick and easy questions for you....

Do you remember the model and all that good stuff on the sink basin, faucet, etc, that you purchased for this? Also, what else you had to do to change from a double stack to a single, and those types of things? Also, how much larger did you have to make the opening...?

For the table extensions, what do you do when the table needs to be laid down to make a bed? also, what kind of support system is in place to connect the extension to the main?

It's an insert so you just cut the hole the size that the instructions say. Unit cannot be too deep though as it would not fit. This model was perfect size. Yes added more storage just above the fireplace as it was more wasted space. Perfect for dvds. Hope this helps!

Mikewcrook, I have a 2014 23IKSS and I just opened the door where you installed the fireplace insert. What did you do about the dual motor sync. velocity slide controller and the battery disconnect switch?Click image for larger version

I put an electric fireplace in thr bunk area of our 2014 Sunseeker 3170ds, under the tv and radio. Found on on eBay exactly th right size s just had to remove the cabinet doors. Got fake wood from HD to surround and used out let behind for power -but had to move out let into space behind tub and mount sideways. Really nice when on full hook up s not to use propane. Cost about $80-$90 .

Did add a fireplace last spring, went into Sam's and they had a display model only left they originally wanted $200 and had it marked down to $150. I asked one of the sales associates about it and they got the manager to sell it for $75. 1500 btus of heat, we used it on a couple of trips when we had an electric site kept our 30 ft v lite nice and toasty. This wasn't a finished picture, screws got covered with wooden buttons and wood got finished. Sorry forgot to say welcome to the group and you will get lots of ideas here.

Hello D_TWEEZY. The sink was from home Depot - Glacier Bay model #202564211. Was difficult to install as it was a very tight fit. Had to cut into face frames of the cabinets and enlarge the hole in the laminate. The New Sink comes with a template. Difficult project if you have never done a sink before. As for the double to single basin conversion that is just new plumbing parts from Home Depot. Can't really explain that. Had to add new flex water lines and shutoff valves as well. The faucet I reused from a kitchen install for a client of mine was getting rid of. The pullout faucet does help with dishes. Any pullout faucet will work. As for the table extension, it is simply removed and kept under the couch when not in use. Created a slot out of wood under bottom table and permanently attached another piece of wood that fits into that slot onto the extension. Slides in and out. I will take pictures next time it is out of storage. Hope that helps.

Nccamper, I left the slide motor in place behind the fireplace. If I ever have a problem with the slide the fireplace just unscrews with 4 screws and pulls out of the way to access the slide controller. Same amount of time as taking off the current door you have. I replaced the battery disconnect switch with a turn style on as my kids kept kicking in the disconnect every time they entered the trailer which killed the power when we were on battery only. Pain in the butt so put new one in. It is not as deep as the old one allowing more space for the fireplace. Might be able to see it in this picture if you zoom. Hope this helps.

We use a small ceramic furnace in the living area at night ,it keeps the bedroom comfy since that is where we will be . No need to heat the whole camper.

Thanks. The DW said this is a must do. We are at the camper this weekend ( it's been at the campground in Boone as of first of first of Sept. and take it home next
weekend). I thought I would open the door and take a look. A lot of wires in there. Most have plenty of of slack, but there are a few that I may have to trace down and see if I can get a few more inches out of! Extended warranty runs out in May, then it's on with the major mods!!

Nncamper yes all my wires had plenty of slack. I just organized them all to the very back of the cabinet and zip tied them to keep them there. Just make sure they do not come in contact with the fireplace once it is installed as not to melt them when the heater is on. I think I had 2 inches to spare in the back of mine. Yes I could not wait for the warranty to be up before I did my mods. I just dove in the week after we bought it. Never had a problem with anything on the trailer. Everything works great. This mod worked great for heat for our 3 kids in the front bunk and couch while my wife and I use a small portable ceramic heater in the back bunk. Entire trailer stays nice and warm for all of us with no cold spots and not turning on the furnish. Good luck!
