IRV 34

Hello, the dealer just installed a IRV 34 to replace my broken IRV 33, now I'm having issues with this one too, when I press zone three the radio just stays at a constant level, will not go up or down when I turn the volume know up or down, the other two zones work as they should

We only had 2 set of speakers installed in our camper (1 pair inside and 1 pair outside).

Unfortunately one inside speaker was zone 1 - left and the other was zone 2 - also left.

I'd check your wiring at the back of the unit to make sure the speakers you have are wired correctly. (Bet they ain't. )

It's been a while since I installed my 34, but I seem to remember that once you set the correct source for zone 3, the volume knob should work to control it. Maybe you have another lemon?

Found these directions: Your iRV34 has a unique function called Muti-Sourcing. This allows you to have zone 3 play from a different
source than zones 1 and 2 at the same time. To operate this function do as follows:
With radio on in normal mode you can turn any zone on/off with a quick push of any zone button.
To change source for zone 3:
Push and hold zone 3 button until the display reads Z3 followed by the current source that zone is playing.
Such as Radio/DVD/BT. Then push the mode button to change the source that is on zone 3. Now the volume
knob is controlling only the source of zone 3 playback.
To control the volume on zone 1 and 2:
Press and hold zone 1 for two seconds and now the volume knob is controlling zone 1 and 2 and all other
operations are back to normal.

Just did all of that, still won't go back to normal it will control the volume on just zone three if I go thru this process but then it goes right back to doing the same thing, won't allow you to control volume on all three sources at the same time?

Okay, now I'm not sure what you mean. You will be able to control Z3 volume while the input is set to Z3, and only Z3. You then have to change back to Z1 and Z2 to control their volume. You can't control all three zones simultaneously.

During our recent trip out west we took a lot of movies with us to watch in the evenings. I have a brand new 2017 Roo 19 so it kind of surprised me to discover that the IRV would not play blu-ray discs. DVD's were ok but not the blu-ray. I got out the owners manual and it seems that it is not a blu-ray player. Did I miss something?

As far as I know, only high end units have entertainment systems with blu ray capabilty.
RV Manufacturers don't feel most campers care about blu ray enough.

Zone 3 is considered separate, so no, zone 3 volume needs to be adjusted independent of Zone 1 & 2. It's a great feature! prior to that there were lots of complaints about outside either being too loud or not loud enough compared to inside. The other great thing with multisource is for example, you can listen to radio outside and TV or CD inside at the same time. Plus there is a phone app to control it all from your phone by the campfire via Bluetooth.

I havent tried it yet myself, but the manual that came with the Irv34 had an insert about the app.

We're camping now and I can confirm that the new app works great and controls everything on my IRV34. This is good because the remote that came with the 34 only works if I'm within 3 feet or so.
I'm using an Iphone and the app is marked "New" in the App Store

Old app wouldn't even connect, new app connects and then promptly crashes on my 2017 21DK using a Droid Turbo 2.
