I thought that all switches should be parallel, not perpendicular to the lines. So the switch between hot and cold was also parallel. The young guy who gave me my walk through, showed me where everything was, and a lot of how things worked, but I don't think he got how much I didn't know. And I could possibly know all the questions to ask. "I didn't know what I didn't know." Little by little I'm figuring it all out. I did it before with the used popup. Just this one has so much more to figure out!

I have 3 young adults in the family, that I have to teach how to conserve water in the shower! I have to make it work before they camp!

I am glad you took our advice and confirmed that your valves were in the wrong position. You will have nice hot showers now!

Glad it was only the valves. Easy fix.

Not enough hot water
If you tried out your outside shower and then just shut of the shower head, but not the outside taps, your hot water tank is supplied with cold water trough the outside shower and you will never get enough hot water.
Check the outside tabs and turn them off, good luck

I am guessing you are talking about indoor shower,,, I had to remove our outdoor shower box from the side of out brand new Sunseeker last year,,, because the idiot line workers in IN jammed it in and crimped the hot water line !!!
Don't even get me started on the way these things are thrown together,,, Tuesday it took me 2 hours to remove 4 screws from the top of the water filter canister cap,,, looks like after they installed the filter & plumbing they then installed the tanks on top of it,,, not even a nuff room for a angel screwdriver !!!
Just get it off the end of the line,,, payday on Friday !!!

I agree. I saw this post a couple days ago and like most thought, and was suggested to the OP, it most likely the pesky bypass valve setting. I was going to chime in but saw it was already suggested. But the thread just kept going around and around, and there never was a "oh, I understand whats going on moment" as far as I could tell.

Well, I believe I have the hot water thing fixed! It was the bypass valve I guess. I put in the shower curtain clips, and I put slipcover plastic on the shower side of the cabinet with sticky Velcro dots. I can still change it if I want, it is a quick change. It seems to be such a small space and I don't want anything water damaged. My grown kids may not fit so well.

Took my new baby out for the first time this past week (Flagstaff Superlite 29FBSS)... I had the same exact problem. Luke warm water and the cold water was not turned on at all. Thanks to this forum, I went and checked the bypass valves. The Hot and Cold valves were in the correct position HOWEVER the bypass valve in the connecting line was not... It was in the open position and was allowing cold water to mix into the hot water line. I rotated the valve into the correct position and IMMEDIATELY had hot water! So thankful for this forum! I have learned so much!
