Where did I post my thread !!!! ............that's no fair guys !
Obviously, forum members don't always ferret out which sub-forum a post is in.
Many of us look at a poster's signature block to determine what units are being referenced... or we read it in the text. Sorry.

Often posters have to specify type or brand of RV they're asking about, in their opening post.

Otherwise you'll get responses from others that have nothing to do with the OP's type of RV.
They never look at which section or sub-forum it's posted in.

Thanks Dan,

I thought that since I put my question in the ( expandable and hybrid forum), I would get answers only from folks who have that type of camper!

Different sites, different ways (You know what I mean Dan)

Drenjoey,

Take a look at your grey and black tanks. They should have VB22548H cast into the bottom surface. If so they are 33 gallons each and not the 28 gallons as listed in the Rockwood brochure or website.

There should be a sticker on the fresh tank and it should be VB28546W.
That's a 39 gallon tank. They show the freshwater capacity as 43 which does not add up. It should be 45 however the 6 in the heater is not usable.
Even the yellow weight sticker is wrong which probably tells you that a full load of water weighs 249 lbs. It should read 375 lbs.

Link to the tank manufacturers info.

The grey tank will fill must faster than the black.... which can take a week to fill.
Would it be hard for factories to install a smaller black tank and a bigger grey tank !!! And if weight is an issue, why not a small black one and two medium size grey tanks connected !!!!!

Let's see what the folks on this forum have to say about this issue !!!

When boondocking we use a small plastic tray that fits in the sink for doing dishes. We then dump the water into the toilet.

Our Cardinal 5er has a 37 gal black tank and 2 37 gal gray tanks. 70 gal fresh water. The spec says the tanks are 40 gal, but when I was replacing the black tank sprayer I noticed it says 37 gal right on the tanks.

I have become very proficient on saving water. I can make the grey and black tanks last a week or so. Carry water for drinking and cooking. If we wash dishes inside we use a dish pan and discard it down the toilet. Usually need to put a few 5gal buckets in the FW during the week.

Your Cardinal has two grey tanks ( But it's a fifth wheel ) .

Don't forget that what I have is an Hybrid ! and as MrHavercamp mentioned: I have two 33 gallons tanks on my Roo ( One black and one grey ).

Why can't the factory install one 22 gallon black tank and two 22 gallons grey tanks.

I guess that would be too easy !!!!!!!
