We made one reservation for this year last August. We usually wait until the RV show in February gather info on places we might like to go and then sit down with a calendar. We may not get the exact spot we were hoping for but have not been dissapointed so far.

Booked our Thanksgiving 2014 and Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach July 2014 back in Sept. Have to wait & see on our other week as son is graduating with his masters in May.

To get into some of the places we want, reservations have to be made at least a year in advance.

Hah - as fulltimers we book as little as possible.. Once in a while it gets hairy around holidays but we usually find places in private RV parks. This summer might find us being seasonals for a change...

I hear getting into Ludington is about as hard as finding a 4 leaf clover. The Vacation Station in Ludington is nice and not too far from the beach.

I am. I need to stay close to Lubbock/Slaton and found Buffalo Springs Lake, but I'm not sure if it will be family friendly. We need some space between campsites because I'll have my 5 kids with me.

We have sold out house and will be in our new 5er starting in April until the end of June. The last part of June we are moving to North West Arkansas and will stay in the 5er until we find a place down there.

We lived in Lubbock until 2008. Camped at Buffalo Springs one time about 7 years ago. Shaded campground, restrooms/showers just okay. May have been improved since then. Not many places to camp around there, had to travel at least 2 hours minimum.

I believe Post or Slaton has a few spaces in a city park, never checked them out.

Never stayed there. I think there's a lot of permanents there. Right on the west loop.
Convenient to everything.

Indeed it is! DH is on the phone right now with our camping friends in TX, booking an extended stay at Lake Claiborne State Park in NE LA for early April. We made a drive over and met up with them today to check that park out. Suffice it to say...we likey!

So, booking a trip "kinda" makes me feel better, but it ain't relieving the hitch itch! We'll make several weekend trips long before then, starting as soon as the weatherman says no more freezing temps.

While checking out sites today, just standing there chatting, *four* deer (does) came trotting through, then within 3 minutes here they came back through.
