This is the gutter I got at Lowes:

You want it to be symmetrical. All the ones at Home Depot were offset on one side. They also sell ends for them, as you can see in my pic. It's basically as long as the fence post. I put one "end" in the middle to make two compartments, one for the hose and one for the fittings.
