level
What are people using on their hybrid to check it for level? I used 2 of these on my popup but didn't know if there was something better or not.
Also, is this what I would need if I wanted to use my drill to put down the stabilizer jacks?

I bought something similar but DH has never installed them. He uses a big level that he moves around on the floor inside.

We bought the same things for our fifth wheel. The problem is, I haven't been able to determine where "level" actually is! We use a 2' level inside the door and can change how level we are simply by moving the level itself around.
One day I'll level to the frame and then hang the little levels. Until then- best guess and a 2' level inside the door for us it is.

We use one level that has two scales and two bubbles in it, one running "north and south", the other running "east and west". Bought it at the RV dealer's parts department. It works great. It is mounted on the frame right in front of the front power jack.
And, yes, that Camco socket is exactly what you need, in your 18v battery drill, to raise and lower the stabilizer jacks. I bought ours at Amazon, too...cheapest place I found to get one.

I use a couple of Hoppy levels on my Shamrock. Both are on the front passenger side of the trailer and arranged to measure side by side and front to back. I installed these as level simply by using my long 4' carpenter's level placed in the middle of the trailer to get the unit level. Then I installed those Hoppys. I also have a spirit level built into the top of my Barker jack.

I have those on my 5ver but I usually use them to get close then I use a level on the kitchen counter right next to the refrigerator. My reasoning is I want the refrigerator to be as level as possible.

I use an iPhone app, IHandy level, and place it on the tongue, the rear bumper, the steps, etc. and check it before and after i put down the stabilizers.

Rather than buy the drill adapter from an online store for 9 bucks plus shipping, i went to lowes (one of my weekly trips) and bought the adapter for 3 bucks and dug a 3/4" socket out of my tool box and presto! Works great!!!!

Interesting idea... How accurate is the app? I'd be concerned the phone is too small to detect level over a longer run. May have to try that and compare to my level to see if it would be enough to not drag my level around.

I got a little 6" magnetic torpedo bubble level that stick to my battery box bracket. Works good on the fore-and-aft and side-to-side.

Thanks for the idea. I remembered I had some extra sockets and one was a 3/4" so I went to Harbor Freight and bought this.
