Lights under cabinet b(Roo 23WS)
A new mod I just did. I installed reading lights under the cabinets (over the U-shape table).
I had to lift the bottom panel of the cabinets to get to the wires. There are two panels and the wires are tucked between the two......Anyway, once I found a positive and negative wire, it was a breeze.
I do have to say the bulbs that came with the lights (1056, I think) were producing a lot of heat, and my DW mentioned it to me after touching the cabinet bottom panel. I ordered LED equivalent from eBay, and these don't produce any kind of heat.....GREAT!

What's it take to lift the cabinet bottom? (And I assume you meant you lifted the TOP panel of two that make up the BOTTOM of the cabinet?

Kind of easy.....In the upper cabinets, remove the two moldings that holds the piece of board behind the electric switch panel, and then start lifting the top bottom panel starting from the left .....Welcome to a world of wires !!!

My Roo is gone, I'm in a Mini Lite now, so I'm guessing I don't have quite the same setup as yours. I'm more interested in the moldings and the lifting. Are you saying you just pried out the molding and lifted the panel? The molding was stapled/nailed? There was nothing glued that you had to deal with?

Thanks. I'm surprised about no glue, but maybe it's just the bottom panel that's glued. Would make some sense, so you could still get to the wiring from the top panel. But I don't see a lot of sense in the things on these TT's!!

I did this mod also, I ordered matching reading lights from Forest River, I like how they look and work, I thought we would bump them but no problem at all. The rig looks cozy when all 4 are lit. You can get them from Sheri at Forest River.

Interesting. My 2010 Roo 23SS had a pancake light fixture installed at the factory. So the replacement floorplan 23WS doesn't come with any lights there?

As reading lights, the only ones on a 23ws are the ones over the couch.
In some way, I'm happy I can buy the ones I want for over the table instead of a pancake one in the center of the cabinet.
