The base of my shower leaks as well, it comes from UNDER the shower near the back wall on the toilet side. I have idea what's going on and I'm dreading taking it in.

Is there access door / panel to the underneath of the shower. The drain could be leaking.

No, the black tank is under the shower.

Are you sure? On my unit there is an access door on the short vertical section of the shower stall itself so you can look under the shower unit. Not sure if yours is the same, but it should be.
