That's about 30 minutes from us. Campgrounds do fill up fast for holiday 3 day weekends so good thing you reserved early and got a site. Hope you have a great time! We'll be at our seasonal site as we are every weekend from April 15th thru Oct 15th.

we don't camp on holidays or weekends or in the summer.
not worth dealing with crowded campgrounds and idiot party people who tend to camp on such holidays.
plenty of time during the week to camp without all the craziness.
plus living in California, we can camp all year long, so missing summer camping is no big deal.

We do not wait for memorial weekend to kick off the season and our first outing this year is the first weekend in May (and even that is too long). We do camp on the holiday weekends, but we avoid campgrounds, they are packed. I get a premo site lakeside at my folks place. Am the only camper there. Love it.

We have been going that weekend for the last 10 yrs and most we spend at Kring Point , on the St. Lawrence River and this year won't be different. Grew up on the river and this campground is my wife's favorite. Right now it doesn't seem so close still lots of snow on ground but can't wait.

Wife and I already have our spot at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coke 600! Haven't even got our Roo yet either! Kind of a tradition with us now. No more tent camping at races either!

reserved Memorial Weekend at our local state park, Trap Pond. Reserved in December, it fills up fast. We will make a few trips before that though.

Winton Woods in Cincinnati. Went for the first time Labor Day weekend last year and liked it enough to book again. Also booked for the first weekend in May, Derby Day, at the Ky Horse Park. I will also go on a nice weekend in April to de winterize and re stock for the season. Just dropped of the fiver at the dealer today for my warranty repair punch list. Should be about 45 days out until my first trip of the season!!

We book almost every holiday weekend. Kids are out of school and mom/dad too. We hardly ever have any issues with major parties going on. Yes the campgrounds is normally full but its not an issue.
We are set to camp this year at Myakka River State Park for Memorial Day weekend.

It's kind of amazing how early you have to book these days, at least it seems to me. We have our Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends booked already - Spring Mill State park (IN) and Fall Creek Falls (TN) respectively. Hopefully the weather will be a tad bit warmer than it has been this year

ParrishCamper - Myakka is a great park! There is a lot to do there and the camp store is well stocked and staffed with friendly people (at least every time I've been there.) Take some binoculars, the birding is usually really good.

It is amazing how early you have to book for those holiday weekends. One Memorial weekend, we thought we had booked a site at a campground and we had booked early. Not much thought until it was getting close to the weekend and realized we had not gotten a confirmation from the campground. Called them and nope, no reservation for us and they were booked solid. And not an opening anywhere within a 3 hour radius. The three day holidays seems to get all the campers out. That was when I began camp driveway at my folks house at the lake. Now, I go there for the holiday weekends. I wonder how many of them only camp those weekends?

Terrace Pines Campground, Ossipee, NH. Memorial Day weekend for us.
Lake front site. Cant wait to fish and kayak.
We never camp MD weekend whereas we'd be getting outside yard stuff done.
Primarily the pool. But with this being our 2nd season and 3rd trip with the Roo we want to try and get away more.

Bay Shore Resort on Pymatuning lake, Andover Ohio. Great Big Plans... Put the flowers in the ground and drink ice cold beer, err if the snow has melted by then! If not then Big Plans! Ice Fishing and Ice cold beer! Bottom line is that what ever my plans are, I am sure it will include Ice Cold Beer!

If you're reading this in English, take the time to thank a Vet!

Pinewood lodge in Plymouth Massachusetts. Our favorite spot. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
