Memory Foam Mattress Topper for Bed Ends?

Do any of you use a memory foam type topper for your heated bed end mattress? We are wondering about getting one. For me it is somewhat about sleeping on the crease in the fold of the the mattress (where it folds for putting up the bed ends.) Another possible use is with the fold out sofa-bed. But we're wondering if we lose the benefit of the heated mattresses we have if we put a foam topper on it.

Also, should we go that route, any suggestions on which ones are better or what to consider?

We use the Novaform memory foamQueen toppers from Costco and are quite happy. Add a duvet, and it makes for a very comfortable bed.

We got one for our bunk end, it is great, BUT we were not able to get it to fold up into the bunk end, so we have to find a place to put it during transport, which is on our table. It makes it sort of annoying, as an additional step and a lot of space used to store this topper. I have been thinking about getting a 4-6" inflatable mattress to use as a topper, because when it is deflated it will fold right into the bunk.

We have the 23ikss, and I only tried to fold it into the front. I got the bunk closed, but it stuck too far out into where the slide is for it to close, so the model you have might not have this issue.

Just my thoughts...

I have a cheap 2 inch one from Walmart and its awesome! I just fold it like a sandwich and store it on my day couch formerly-known-as-a-u-dinette during travel.

Highly recommended and as others pointed out, the mattress heaters work just as well with the foam on top.

my toppers fold into the side and rear mattresses on my 183, but not the front... I have to roll it up and put it on the dinette... I have it encased in a zipper bag for mattresses found at Walmart, which keep it clean and easy to fold up and store with a bungee around it

Yep, Got a costco 4" "foamy-thing" (as my wife calls it) here. It's a bit of a PITA to deploy and roll up. I have it down to an art, so I always get to do it. But it is WELL worth the effort.

Heat from the mattress will sorta get thru. Its not as good as with no foamy-thing at all, but enough to be cozy on a cool night.

we picked up a 2" from bed bath beyond. makes a huge difference in comfort. we remove it when closing the camper up, fold in half, and store on the dinette for travel. it's a therapedic.

When I had a HTT I used a 2 inch memory foam topper on it. When traveling I folded it in thirds like a burrito and put it on the couch. This also allowed me to keep the sheets on it, which made it much easier to make the bed at our next arrival. Just slide the topper on top of the mattress and unfold the burrito! Throw a blanket on top and DONE!
