Microwave won't heat, cook

When plugged in, the microwave clock, and everything appears to work, however, it does not warm or heat up anything. It is a magic chef that came standard with my 2012 23ss ROO. The manual is worthless for any help. Any suggestions from you all? Appreciate it.

micro not heating

Chances are that one of the door interlock switches is not making /closing. If your handy just remove the cover and look for probably 2 switches near the door latch, both switches have to operate to allow the oven to go into a cook cycle If you hear them both operate when closing the door then possibly a fuse is blown. you will have to look around to find it. do not touch the capacitor terminals. the capacitor can hold quite a charge it will knock the ---- out of you. If your not handy, a oven of this power and feature level can be had a WAL-Mart for under a $100.00.good luck

I went ahead and bought a new magic chef microwave-mcm990B, but the size is slightly smaller than previous micro-mcd990arb. When I pulled old microwave an oily fluid with weird odor was present...maybe from voltage transformer or capacitor? The trim kit from original microwave is too big, half inch on height and width for new microwave. Anyone know where to purchase new trim kits? Any mod suggestions to keep old trim kit and allow fitting of new micro? What/where oily substance came from? Appreciate any help.

Oil likely came out of an oil filled capacity or possibly from the transformer that steps up the voltage (these things run at 10K volts or so.)

PCB's have been outlawed for 35 yrs or so, so I don't think you need to worry about it, other than cleaning it up.
