Tried that..even my feet dangle off the ends, and I still have to shimmy off the bed. My side is the one with the cabinet at the end, so still not easy. We don't need the bed/sleeping space in this wonderful trailer any more either, and the more I work around the island, the more I think it's in the way. I can't tell you how many times I had to go the "other" way because the bathroom door was open or someone was at the fridge/counter/sink.
A beautiful camper, but I'm lovin the thought of a bed.
