Moving On ... Thanks for all of your help!

This forum is and was awesome. But my wife and I are seriously considering a hardside trailer. (I know, I know. Whimps.) The hybrid experience was great but after last season and before we begin this season we decided to make the switch. With just the two of us we don't need all of the sleeping space and we'll end up with something simpler.

If any of you purchased used trailers or have sold your trailers we would love suggestions on how to sell ours. It is less than a year old so we'll take a bath as a trade in. It deserves more. Only about 20 nights camping and 500 miles of travel. No issues or leaks. Winterized last October and prepped for camping in May by our dealer (Nolans in Denver). Kept covered all winter. 2016 23IKSS. We will keep it in its current storage location this Summer as the new trailer will be stored - between trips - in the mountains. (We live in Denver.)

So any suggestions on the selling process would be welcome.

Happy camping to all of you. These remain awesome trailers and I am certain you all will continue to enjoy yours!

We sold our '08 23SS Roo in late summer of '13.... after DW decided we (she) wanted a new trailer. She gave a good argument and I couldn't see any flaws in her logic.
At the time, Craigslist was probably the best place to try and sell things. I took plenty of pictures of the inside and threw some goodies in to entice a new owner. We had bought a screen room, which I didn't want to let go, but the people who came to look at the Roo liked the idea. Also threw in the X-chocks I had been using. Posting pictures of the Roo all set up at a campground helped. A couple pictures of our dogs laying around under the awning on a mat - stuff that people might look at and think, "Looks like they had a cool time."
I think I had 2 or 3 other inquiries about the Roo, but the first people to look at it took it. He didn't have a WDH - so I delivered the Roo to them - almost 2 hrs away.

First, you should put it in the Forum's Classified section.

Great suggestion. I didn't even think about that as I hadn't looked at it before. I'll go take some pics tomorrow and set it up.

Popups sell very fast around here and often for a premium. The reason is that most popups don't require an investment of a very expensive pickup truck to haul them around.

Craigslist and placing a for sale sign on it when you tow it are your best bets. Good luck!

We've decided to move to a hard side too, and I'm glad to read your posts and replies here. We have a 2014 23ikss, and love it, but I can't stand climbing in, out and over my husband any more. Wo derful unit..no leaks, and it's mint. We're spoiled by tje open floorplan, and can't park anything much bigger at home, so we're looking I to some Murphy bed models by Rockwood. Wish us luck! We sold our pup on Craigslist to the first looker. Take lots of great pics, and clean her up real good. You shouldn't have a problem. I sure hope we don't either!

This does work.

Camped with a group and one guy put a 'For Sale' sign on my Brother-in-laws camper while he was gone. Three different couples came by to 'look at the camper for sale'. The guy showed each couple the camper and put a good market rate price on it. Two couples were interested and we got their information, phone numbers and camp site. When my brother-in-law got back and saw the 'For Sale' sign, we all had a laugh.... and gave him the interested parties information. He thought we were pulling his leg until later that day one of the couples came back to inquire about the 'For Sale' camper......

He did not sell

My wife complained about climbing over me also. She suggested we sleep with our heads at the end of the tents and out feet closer to the trailer. We were initially sleeping head and feet at side windows. This change helped a lot. I just put a pillow on the shelf so my legs are not on the hard surface.

Sounds like the normal RV Process to me

Lots of the folks started with a PUP and moved up.

I guess we are the poster children for that LOL we went PUP->TT->5er and are now looking at Class A...

You are at Stage 2: TT, so since it is just the 2 of you, y'all might want to just skip the rest and look at a Class A now
