My New Roo 233S

Hi,

I took delivery of my 2013 Roo 233S yesterday and we're starting to load it up for our first trip! I ordered the Riviera interior but FR has changed for 2013 and I got Taylor Sand instead. I think it looks good.

I had several minor items and one bigger item noted on the PDI that need to be addressed. Disappointingly there are several small holes in the canvas of the front bunk. I'm waiting to hear how that's going to be resolved. Just need to make sure it's done right.

The monitor panel is to the left just as you enter.

The interior looks great. I didn't know they moved the TV back to the kitchen area (ala 2011 style).

Several small holes at the bottom aft part of the front bunk canvas.

They also put a tv mounting bracket outside so if you want you can move the tv outside and watch. Doubt I'll ever do that but who knows.

A nice feature that I will use is the LP plumbing for an outside grill. I didn't order the grill from FR so I surprised to see the trailer had been plumbed for one. Wonder if all of the 2013 are plumbed now?

Congrats! I like the colors.

Our 2012.5 Roo has the television above the couch. It works, but where you have it is much more practical. Our best viewing is to swing it out from it's travel position so we can watch it while in the front bunk. I also like the outside mount. We would definitely use that! Enjoy!

BTW... I'd have those holes repaired or the canvas replaced ASAP.

Saw the pics looks good. What do the corners look like on the bunk ends?? Nice and clean?? I see you got the heated tanks option? Dud you ask or dealer just does it.. We in Canada never put that on trailers and it's much cooler up here earlier.

The Roo is a really nice looking trailer with lot of space! I like how the windows in the kitchen open out.

Good luck! I'm sitting in mine in my driveway now as I type. We're getting it loaded up for our first trip. Heading to the the Outer Banks in a couple of days. I have three little boys and they are very excited about it all.

I agree that he tv over the oven is better. Storage space is at a premium in this camper so every cabinet counts! My three boys are excited to have the middle bunk and swing the tv over so they can watch movies in bed. My plan is to have them so worn out with the days activities that they won't be able to keep their eyes open for a movie in bed

BTW... Love all the pictures with your dogs in the camper. Crackin me up!

Hi, I've read your posts about the troubles you are having and am sure sorry about that. I checked my corners extra carefully and they look good. We had a good rain yesterday and a good hosing down and the only leaks I have are from the small holes. I think once they are taken care of I'll be in good shape.

I paid a little extra for the heated holding tank option. I used to live in Alaska so maybe it's a holdover from there but it seemed like the thing to do.

Love the space this floorplan offers. We hadn't see one in person before we bought it and are pleasntly surprised. It's bigger than we thought. From the pictures on the FR site plus all of the info on this forum we were comfortable placing our order but still a bit anxious. Now that we have it I see it has more floorspace than the Class A we used to own!

I haven't been in one yet so I'm still pretty surprised by the amount of open space it has. Maybe there will be one at the RV show this fall that I can see.

Enjoy your beautiful RV!

There is a TON of floor (and bunk) space in the 233S. To give perspective, look at the various pics I've posted with our dogs laying on the floor. Each of our dogs is 80-130 lbs. All four have space to lay on the floor (and in a bunk if they choose) and we still have room to walk around.

We also bought our camper without ever having seen one in person; and weren't disappointed.

As far as the tank heaters: We also purposely included them on our camper. They haven't been used yet, so I can't give an opinion on whether they work or not. Our thoughts were that it is better to have and not need than to need and not have them. The cost did not seem prohibitive.

My wife got that years ago from a Ikea. It didn't hold up well however. It had metal hooks that bent when we got on the road. It wasn't strong enough to carry the load bouncing down the road in a trailer. I see the ones they sell now use velcro instead and that might be able to handle it.
