Need Help with Rafter Pole Plastic Guide Pin

Hi All!

Discovered on my maiden voyage with my new Shamrock 21SS that the plastic button or pin that inserts into the end of the tent rafter pole had been broken off. The button is attached to the plastic guide that sits atop and in the center of the tent end frame.

Does anyone have a source for this plastic part or the part number for it?

I apologize for the poor word description and if it helps I'll try and get a photo of the part later and will post.

Suggest you call your dealer. It is obviously a warranty issue, and they may have one in stock.

Thanks for your reply and I intend to do so. They were closed for the day and so I'll talk to them tomorrow. In the meantime, I thought I'd make my inquiry...just in case my dealer doesn't have the part on hand. I need it pretty quick as I plan to go camping again next week.

Pretty sure you can get one at any dealer. I had no problem replacing mine. It just pried out of the pole. I carry a spare.

Now - a picture is helpful - but so is learning the proper RV terminology.

We have a Shamrock 183 with 3 bunks so I know of which I speak.

This piece is properly called the shephard's hook "thing-a-ma-bob" or "that doo-flange plastic part that you're always afraid you'll miss - thereby poking the shepard's crook through the wall of the bunk!"

Note: "thing-a-ma-bob" is shorter but fails to relay the importance of the part.
