The chg over for the filter works great I mounted it to a basket like to put weight inside n keep the filter off the ground all is a quick disconnect so it's quick to take apart n thro in basket n done n gives great peace of mind compared to getting a new camper ruined quick good luck also the inside island was mounted wrong when the slide was put I. It would hit the door handles so it got moved 1" in farther

I have learned to turn the water and water heater off just not to have issues ever but I check my filter every time I hook up as well.

So if I understand things correctly, our filter on our new 2016 IKSS is behind a wood panel that must be removed? Is that correct?

I just took out the "wood" panel under the bathroom sink. I was able to cut a piece off and also a slot to fit the shower water hose so I could get more floor space. Not too hard to cut with regular household scissors! I may remove that one in the back covering the filter as well.

Not sure with the 16's but with the 15's that is correct. Open the rear compartment, remove the panel directly in front, there are two, and the filter/ pump and the water control valves are located there.

When you put a hose where the filter was did you just use the pipe clamps and tighten very well, I figured I would have to use pex piping and buy a pex crimping tool?

A pvc pipe coupler easily works to remove your filter and join the pipes together. (the last plastic tab on the canister snaps off which causes the housing to unscrew).

Wicked, you put the filter wrench back on the canister and wedge it in so if the canister was to try to unscrew the wrench would stop it. Could be your secondary line of defense.

Ah did not think of the filter housing tool, wedging it could be the answer

Needed to do that in order to keep our spring icebreaker trip last year. Was upsetting to flood the trailer twice. I posted a picture of the last tab broken off on the canister which causes it to unscrew.
