New 2016 Roo 23IKSS
Well we're picking up our Roo 23IKSS tonight, very excited. We're coming from a very small popup so it'll be nice to have some room. I've been trying to search on here as much as I can in prep but any recommendations or tips you have I'd appreciate them.
I'll post a pic once I get it home.

Here are some of the most popular mods to consider (just do a search for them):
1. Replace crappy thermostat with a digital one (I had a Honeywell RTH111)
2. Install plexiglass against the bathroom cabinet by the shower and caulk around it to protect the cabinet
3. Install a large shower splash guard on the other side of the shower.
4. Install a 5x5" fence post holder for your sewer hose
5. Get some PUGs

That crappy thermostat is fine, just get an indoor thermometer that also reads humidity. As George Bush Sr. would have said Humidity is "ba-a-ad" for campers.

It wasn't fine for me. Furnace wouldn't run half the time (similar issue as posted in other threads). Replaced the T-sat, never had another problem.

Congrats on the new IK. We got ours last year and really like it. Great for wife and me , and grandkids when they tag along. We have same tv as you and it handles it well. Enjoy and be safe.

We bought ours used from a family that only towed it 3 times. Got a great deal and I absolutely LOVE the camper. Good luck and happy camping!

Welcome Josh. We have had our 23IKSS for 1 1/2 years and really like it. We added plexiglass to the bathroom cabinet shower side. I installed it with hook and loop 3M Command tabs. No holes to drill and screws to install and easy removal. I also added a piece to the right side of the stove wall. I use them to "hang" my photos to the wall of the trailer.

Well the first outing in the new camper went well, no issues. Even got rain and there was no leaking! I need to take a few more pictures.

Nice looking camper. Were you camping in Minnesota? Over here we got some of that rain and wind. Hopefully no more rain next week as we try to go over to the Mississippi River for a couple of nights.

This is one Mod I did and helps if there is a windy day to prevent the top of the kitchen slide from tearing the awning, get the foam tubes at HDepot for like $3.00 for all 4

Yes we were camping in MN, got some pretty heavy rain early Saturday morning. I had put the awning in the night before knowing it would be windy.

If you don't already have one, get a power management system. I have a Progressive Industries EMS-LCHW30. It has already paid for itself.

That is a good thing and you may never have a problem.
The electrical components are so persnickety that a voltage spike or drop could cause significant damage. This YouTube video explains it much better than I could.

I thought the same also. Never had one on the two pups we owned nor our 2010 HTT. Reading these forums, and knowing I somteimes camp in questionable areas, I installed the hw30 on our new 2015. Pretty simple to install and I mounted to the back of the converter/power center. Being a geek, it is cool to look at the display and know what you're drawing for current when you fire up those juice sucking devices. Well, one of those sketchy campgrounds is at the end of the earth (or entrance into the New World. Provincetown, MA). We were on a loop with mostly smaller campers. Just two tt's with a/c besides us. We could never run the A/C. The voltage would drop down to 100 volts and the hw30c would cut the power (exactly what it was designed for). Fortunatley the days weren't that bad that A/C would have een really needed. But, by the end of the trip, two big rigs pulled in. One class A and a fifth, both with multiple a/c's. When they plugged in my line voltage(with no draw from me) was at 104 volts. I couldn't even turn on the tv without the hw30c cutting power. I called the cg manager who sent someone over. He checked at the post and was only getting 104volts. After a few attempts at fixing the post, we wnded up running a 30amp extesion cord accross the sites to a different post. PS the couple in the camper next to us fried their microwave last year at this same campground.
