Well, we just ordered our Roo 19 and they say it will be 8 weeks. Oh well, I will just keep reading your travels and that should make it easier to wait. (maybe not!!)

How do you like your 21dk I'm thinking about buying a 15 that's used for 17,000. Or a 23ss just having a hard time choosing which one.

We like our '14 bought new last year. One thing that's good about it is that you can still get to everything even when the beds are up and the slide is in. That makes it easier to pack, even if you don't want to turtle.
If we ever sleep overnight on the road at a Pilot or Flying J (it's just 2 of us), we'll keep the beds up and the slide in. We'll be able to use the bathroom and cook breakfast. The aisle is cramped, but it works.

Yeah one thing you can't do with a 23IKSS but with all the room it offers all we need to do is put the jimmy hen slide out to get to the bathroom. I think FR has a great hit with the Roo/Shamrock line I see more and more of these at campgrounds we go to.

Yeah I agree. They really are a great combination of smaller tow size, interior amenities and spaciousness for those people willing or wanting to be a little closer to the outside even when inside.

We researched a year and it came down to the 21DK hands down. Finished packing up for our 1st trip this weekend and have only used HALF the storage avalible....and the old HTT had boxes on the floor.

A few advantages of the 21DK we really liked (your needs may be different). We had a toy hauler before and had a chance to figure out what was important to us.
1. Tons of counter space. It is really deceptive but there is a ton of counter behind the stove and sink. We never had enough before.
2. Large bathroom with a lot of counter/shelf space. Again, we never had enough.
3. Great view of the outside while lounging inside (assuming you have the bunk open).
4. Large refrigerator (and even a second one outside). Always ran out of room and needed to keep half the stuff in a cooler.
5. Huge awning given the size of the camper...almost full length. We like a large awning so to keep the length in a small camper was great.
6. Like most Roos it has a huge amount of interior storage that is actually accessible.
7. It feels like virtually no wasted space. It is very short and reasonably light yet has every box checked on what we wanted.
8. As the previous poster indicated it is very usable when turtled. I often go up a day or two early after work and it will be nice to have the option to just use it without setting up the first night.

The only advantages I see, that the 21DK has over the 23SS, is the bathroom.
We like having a sofa AND dinette.
The 23SS has more kitchen counter space and you can also access everything with the slide in.
plus you have the dinette and sofa to sleep on when turtling. And its slide out is much longer,
opening up more space.
But we have no interest in an outdoor kitchen.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. My list was more about positives of the 21DK but not necessarily advantages over other Roos. I love the 23ss as well, I just didn't feel it added enough over the 21DK to warrant the extra cost and length in my specific case. I would love that sofa though.

Thank you for the info!! Do you ever actually turtle? I'm coming from the perspective of owning a tent trailer with a couch slide out. So we have never gone anywhere farther than a one day drive from California as we have two kids 10 and 8.

There is so much to learn and see best things people do no matter what type of RV, I learned a lot in here with my first RV but now that I have a Roo 23IKSS it's a whole new world 😜

I don't even have my 21DK yet but I like the option turtling provides. If it is 105 degrees and just the wife and I we can turtle to keep it a little cooler inside. I often go up early in the week to get a better spot and just go to work from the campground and that is another time I could see just leaving it turtled until the family joins me on the weekend.
We are 100% campers and not travelers...I would expect travelers would turtle even more often.
